French Cake and Velvet Cake: the early Scouse Genetics dessert lines
French Cake and Velvet Cake both belong to the early Scouse Genetics story, but their recorded parent crosses are different. This is the archive view.
French Cake is recorded as French Macaron × Sunset Sherbet. Velvet Cake is recorded as Double Stuffed Sorbet × Sunset Sherbet. The shared Sunset Sherbet parent helps explain why both sit naturally in the same dessert-family conversation, but they remain separate archive lines.
Both also belong to the early Scouse Genetics story alongside SG Kush. That historical connection is different from genetic parentage, so the site records both: the family tree on the strain pages and the brand chronology on the About page.
French Cake
French Cake links the T.H.Seeds French Macaron side of the record with Sunset Sherbet. On the Scouse archive it is one of the original dessert-led lines and now has its own direct links into the Genetics Library and Breeding page.
Velvet Cake
Velvet Cake uses Double Stuffed Sorbet × Sunset Sherbet. Its place beside French Cake is therefore a useful comparison: same broader dessert family and one shared parent, but a different first parent and a separate strain record.
